There are multiple types of citrus fruits. When it comes to juicing them, you can juice them all with the same citrus juicer. Because most of them are about the same size, and are juiced in a same manner. But it will be a bit tough to juice lemons and limes with your average citrus juicer but it’s doable.

There are some electrical juicers out there as well that are designed specifically for lemon and limes. But I think, most people don’t juice lemons and limes that often. They are mainly used when you are cooking, so you might need a bit of lemon juice. Or you might be making some margaritas or better yet may be making some lemonade. In these kinds of situations, it just looks good to have a manual lemon or lime squeezer. To me, it just adds up a pizzazz to the whole experience. You can really spend couple of bucks and buy a manual juicer which is specifically designed to juice lemons and limes.

When you are buying a handheld juicer, you should keep in mind couple of things. A lot of people complain that the handheld juicer slips from the hand when they squeeze a lemon or two for their marinades or a lime for their guacamole. So you should look for a juicer that has a good grip.

Another thing to keep in mind is that usually these handheld mini lemon or lime squeezers don’t come with a strainer and you end up with pulp and seeds. So you should make sure that the citrus juicer that you are buying has a strainer in it.

My favorite handheld lemon and lime juicers are Amco 2-in-1 squeezer, Norpro Stainless-steel Citrus Juice Press and OXO Good Grips Citrus Squeezer. They have the strainers and good grips, which are the two most important things for me. You can also read also read citrus juicer reviews to help you decide which one to get.
