Waring PCJ201 Citrus Juicer, is, as its name implies, made for juicing citrus fruits.  Since it is in Waring’s Pro line, it is also a heavy duty model. This juicer is a great option for those looking to juice lots of citrus fruits and needing a machine that is eager to complete the task.

Pros:

As this is a Waring Pro Citrus Juicer, it is made with the heavy duty user in mind.  As such, it will juice any citrus fruits that you throw at it, large or small, with no complaint.  But not only will handle all manner of citrus fruit, but it will do it all day long, too.  This is a great feature for those with orange trees, to be sure.

Luckily, while it is capable of juicing tons of fruit, it is also a very easy to clean machine, too.  You can easily disassemble it and it is dishwasher safe.

Lastly, while this is a pro, heavy duty model, it still remains easy and simple to use.  It is both easy to put together and easy to run with most of the pulp ending up in the reamer basket for you to add to your drink as you like.

Cons

It is true that this will make any citrus juice you like, but it will do so in a very slow fashion.  The heavy duty motor is definitely built for strength in juicing rather than speed.  If you lead an active lifestyle and are always on the go, then this is something to consider.

While this model is heavy duty and the price reflects that, it may dismay some people as the majority of the unit is plastic.  Granted, it is a strong plastic, but for those expecting stainless steel will be let down. But you can invest a little bit more money and get a Waring PCJ218 Citrus Juicer, which is Stainless Steel.

Conclusion:

The Waring PCJ201 Citrus Juicer is a great choice for those who enjoy juicing and need to juice lots of big citrus fruits.  However, as it juices slowly, it may not be the best option for those looking for something that they can use for a quick pick-me-up while on the go.

Are you in the market for a citrus juicer?  If so, then this Oster Citrus Juicer Review will give you some insight into the popular Oster 3186Juice n Serve 27 Ounce Automatic Citrus JuicerOster 3186 Juice n Serve 27 Ounce Automatic Citrus Juicer has a 27 ounce capacity with the container detaching to do double duty as a serving pitcher. This citrus juicer is a stand alone unit, meaning that the only thing it is designed for is juicing.  The price to features ratio makes it very cost effective.

Pros:

This little unit has a lot going for it.  As already mentioned, the 27 ounce container is actually a detachable pitcher.  This makes serving fresh juice an easy affair as it eliminates the extra step of having to fill a separate pitcher.

For those who like their juice pulp free, the  Oster Citrus Juicer Model 3186 comes with a pulp and seed separator.  This works quite well (for the most part) and strains the juice so you can enjoy a smooth glass of fresh citrus juice.

One thing some juicers have a problem with is getting every bit of juice out of each piece of fruit.  With this machine, however, there are no worries.  It has a reverse action motor that works by spinning first one way and then the other.  This ensures that what doesn’t get juiced on the first pass will be picked up when the motor reverses directions.  In essence, it makes for a very efficient juicer.

Cons:

No Oster Citrus Juicer Review would be complete without mentioning the cons; there just isn’t much to say here.  However, if you happen to like juice that is absolutely pulp free, then the pulp and seed separator may not do the job to your satisfaction.  In this case, you may well find that you need to strain the juice a second time to get rid of all the pulp and seeds.

Conclusion:

Overall, the Oster 3186 Juice-n-Serve 27 Ounce Automatic Citrus Juicer is a great machine for anyone looking for a cost effective citrus juicer that doesn’t skimp out on features.  Unless you must have absolutely no pulp and don’t want to bother with an extra straining step, then this machine is definitely worth a look.
